BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team travels south this weekend to compete in the Flagler Saints Invitational in St. Augustine, Fla. The Beavers (1-3, 0-0-) will play four matched in two days and conclude non-conference play at the tournament.

The Beavers begin the tournament Friday, Sept. 2 by facing Southern New Hampshire University at 2 p.m. CDT, and then face host school Flagler College at 6:30 p.m. CDT. The Beavers conclude play Saturday with matches against Emmanuel College at 10 a.m., and Eckerd College at 2 p.m.

Bemidij State was led in its season-opening weekend last weekend by junior
Hallie Mertz who paced the team with 37 kills over four matches and was second on the team with 33 digs. She was followed by senior
Ashley East who totaled 26 kills and hit .176 en route to an All-Tournament Team selection at the NMU Open.
