ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to Southern New Hampshire University (25-20, 20-25, 22-25, 18-25) and Flagler College (17-25, 21-25, 19-25) Friday evening on the first day of the Flagler Invite in St. Augustine, Fla.

Hallie Mertz led the Beavers (1-5) with 25 total kills over both matches including a career-high 16 kills against Southern New Hampshire. Sophomore
Lauren Sitter followed with 16 total kills including 12 against SNHU and hit a match-high .391.

On defense, junior
Lauren Justesen led BSU with 27 digs including 14 against SNHU while
Ashley Crowl,
Ashley East and
Rylee Pompa each record 1.5 blocks.

Bemidji State hit a season-high .153 in its match against Southern New Hampshire despite the four-set loss while also hitting the season's second highest efficiency at .140 against Flagler.

The Beavers will look to snap its three-game losing skid tomorrow by continuing play at the Flagler Invite against Emmanuel College and Eckerd College at 10 a.m., and 2 p.m. CDT, respectively.
