BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Football team kicks-off week four of the college football season with its second road trip of the season. The Beavers (1-2, 1-2 NSIC) head south to Fayette, Iowa to face the 0-3 (0-3 NSIC) Upper Iowa University Peacocks.

 Kick-off is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24 at 3 p.m., from Harms-Eischeid Stadium and will be broadcast on the NSIC Network and the Beaver Radio Network.

Bemidji State Notes
• Neither team enters the weekend ranked or receiving votes in either the AFCA or d2football.com national polls. Bemidji State opened the 2022 season ranked No. 22 in the AFCA poll but dropped out after consecutive losses to start the season.

• BSU returns 14 starters (10 offense, 4 defense) from last year's team that recorded the first 10-win season in program history. The Beavers secured a share of the 2021 NSIC Championship, the second title in program history, and won the NSIC North Division outright for the first-time last season.

• Bolte was named the 2021 NSIC Coach of the Year for the first time in his career while offensive coordinator
Karson Pike was selected as the 2021 NSIC Assistant Coach of the Year, also for the first time.

• Bemidji State is 6-2 all-time against the Peacocks but Upper Iowa earned a 27-24 victory over the Beavers in their last meeting back in 2018.

• Bemidji State surrendered a 24-13 lead in the fourth quarter in the game with UIU scoring 14 unanswered points in the final 15 minutes to earn the three-point victory.

Jalen Frye is the lone Beaver to record an offensive statistic in that game that is still on the roster after he rushed for 46 yards on 15 attempts.

Colbey Wadsworth each recorded a tackle on defense.

• Bolte is 1-1 against the Peacocks in his five seasons at the helm of the Bemidji State Football team.

• Bolte tied legendary head coach Chet Anderson for third-most coaching victories with his 43 third victory last week against Winona State.

• Junior quarterback
Brandon Alt leads all of Division II with 1,122 passing yards this season. He is one of two quarterbacks in DII with over 1,000 passing yards and His 374.0 passing yards per game average also leads the nation.

• Alt is the lone quarterback in DII to throw for three consecutive 350+ yard games and has thrown for 300+ yards in seven consecutive games dating back to Oct. 30, 2021.

• Alt set the NSIC and BSU single-season passing touchdown record last season with 46. He also broke program records with 4,245 passing yards and 284 completions. He is a reigning D2CCA All-Super Region 4 Second Team and NSIC North Division All-Conference Second Team selection.

• Alt is on pace to throw for over 4,000 yards this season and 297 completions.

• Alt ranks second all-time at BSU in passing efficiency (145.6), career passing touchdowns (65), passing yards (5,907), third in completions (397) and seventh in completion percentage (.548).

• Senior
Brendan Beaulieu leads the NSIC and is sixth in Division II with 387 receiving yards this season. Beaulieu leads the NSIC in receiving yards per game (129.0) and receiving touchdowns (6). He also ranks sixth in DII in all three statistical categories.

• Beaulieu is 69 yards shy of tying Anthony Schrieber (04-07) for most career receiving yards at Bemidji State. He is also three touchdowns shy of tying George Kadlec (05-08) for most career receiving touchdowns and 40 receptions shy of Schreiber for most career receptions.

• Beaulieu is also one game shy of breaking BSU's career record of most 100-yard receiving games (10, Ryan Welle-1999-02).

• Bemidji State had its first 150+ yard rushing game of the season last week agianst Winona State and first since rushing for 152 yards against Concordia-St. Paul, Oct. 9, 2021.

Jalen Frye leads the Beavers' rushing attack and has totaled 166 yards on 55 attempts (2.7/a) while junior
Sage Booker follows with 128 yards on 39 attempts (3.2/a) and has totaled two touchdowns.

• Bemidji State is led on defense by linebacker
Max Buduris who has totaled 18 tackles including 11 solo tackles. He is followed by defensive lineman Stephan Hoffman with 16 tackles and
Colton Herman and
Spencer Wehr who have each added 15 tackles.

Marco Cavallaro paces the team with three tackles for loss while
Zollie Kaplan leads BSU with two sack which both came last week against the Warriors.

Princeten Harris each lead the Beavers with one interception while Herman leads the team with four pass break-ups.
