POTSDAM, N.Y. – No. 10 Clarkson University earned a 5-0 victory over the Bemidji State University women's hockey team Friday night in non-conference action at Cheel Arena in Potsdam, N.Y.
The Beavers (2-1-0) held the Golden Knights (3-0-0) scoreless through the first 20 minutes of the game but a two-goal second period and three-goal third period derailed the Beavers.
Anne Cherkowski tallied two goals and an assist to lead the Golden Knights while Gabrielle David and Kirstyn McQuigge each posted two assists.
Bemidji State totaled 20 shots in the game but Michelle Pasiechnyk turned aside all 20 shots by the Beavers to earn the shutout.

Hannah Hogenson made 24 saves in the game but allowed five goals on 29 shots for her first loss of the season.
Bemidji State totaled two power-play chances in the game but came up empty on both chances while the Golden Knights went 1-for-4 while on the power play.
Bemidji State and No. 10 Clarkson will play for the series finale tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
