ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team played to a scoreless draw through the game's first 25 minutes Saturday afternoon in St. Cloud, Minn., but No. 15/14 St. Cloud State University scored three goals in the final 35 minutes to earn a 3-0 victory.
The Huskies (5-1-0, 2-0-0 WCHA) earned the series sweep over the Beavers with the victory and three more league points in the WCHA standings.
The Beavers totaled 17 shots in the game but were stonewalled by Husky goaltender Sanni Ahola who recorded her third consecutive shutout.
Junior
Abbie Thompson made 26 saves for the Beavers but earned the loss in between the pipes and falls to 0-4-1 on the season.
Bemidji State now falls to 0-5-1 on the season and will now travel to face No. 1 University of Wisconsin next weekend in Madison, Wis.
