BEMIDJI, Minn. – No. 7/8 University of Minnesota Duluth completed the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series sweep over the Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team Saturday afternoon at Sanford Center. The Bulldogs (6-2-0, 4-2-0 WCHA) completed the sweep with a 6-0 victory in the series finale.

The Beavers were shutout for just the third time this season and fall to 0-9-1 (0-6-0 WCHA) on the season.

Bemidji State was out-shot in the game 36-21 with junior
Abbie Thompson making the start in between the pipes and stopping 16-of-22 shots before freshman
Eva Filippova stepped in in the middle of the second period and turned aside all 14 shots she faced.

The Beavers went 0-for-3 on their power play chances during the game while their penalty kill stopped four-of-five Bulldog opportunities.

Bemidji State will now look to next weekend and continue its homestand by hosting No. 2 Ohio State University for a two-game conference series beginning Friday, Nov. 3.
