BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Golf team announced the commitment of two more student-athletes for the Beavers' upcoming 2024-25 season during the NCAA's early signing period. Head coach Erica Gartner announced that Lauren Kammann (Elk River, Minn.) and Bailey Tilley (Savage, Minn.) have each signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Bemidji State and play women's golf for the Beavers next fall and spring. This comes after two-sport athlete Trista Bilden committed during the early signing period as well to compete for both the BSU women's golf and women's track and field programs.
All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
Lauren Kammann
Elk River, Minn./Elk River High School
Personal: Daughter of Kourt and Jessica Kammann. Born on December 29, 2005 and plans to major in business, with a minor in marketing and communications when attending Bemidji State. Lauren's sister, Haylee, is currently on the BSU Women's Golf roster.
Kammann collected four letters in golf and is a tri-sport athlete in high school having also earned four letters in swimming and two in hockey. One of her favorite memories was the golf team making it to the state tournament two years in a row in which she was able to place in the top 45 both years. Lauren chose BSU because she liked the team, the team and the coaches. Plus, the education that is offered and having her sister attend BSU as well.
Coach Gartner Comments:
"It's a joy to be able to welcome Lauren into the Beaver Golf family – her ties to BSU run deep and I'm the most thankful she was able to see herself here as well. She's a true competitor on the course and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to see her succeed here at this level, both on the course and off."
Bailey Tilley
Savage, Minn./Burnsville High School
Personal: Daughter of Brent and Shannon Tilley. Born on October 5, 2005 and plans to major in sports marketing when attending Bemidji State.
Tilley was a two-year captain in golf and earned All-Conference. She was also part of the Minnesota State Hockey consolation champions in 2002. One of her greatest sports thrills in golf was playing at Whistling Straits. Tilley earned Honor Roll all four years and Academic Letter for three seasons. She chose BSU because of the community of athletes that BSU has created. The campus is beautiful and hearing about how every team supports one another is very exciting. She loved the coach and can't wait to be a part of the team.
Coach Gartner Comments:
"I couldn't be more excited to have Bailey joining us next fall – she works hard to hone in her golf game throughout the year and brings a fun skill set to work with. It will be fun to see her transition to the college game, and be able to impact BSU from the jump!"
