ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Bemidji State University Women's Soccer junior goalkeeper
Edie Frantzen earned her first collegiate shutout Sunday afternoon as the No. 9 Beavers played to a 0-0 draw with Rockhurst University in St. Joseph, Mo.

Frantzen stopped all three shots by the Hawks (1-0-1) to earn her first career shutout and was the first shutout of the season for the Beavers (0-0-2).

The Beavers were out-paced in the game failing to register a shot on goal and were out-shot 14-4 (3-0). Frantzen did most of her work in the first half turning aside two shots in the half including one within the first minute of the match. The Beavers were out-shot 8-1 in the opening half but tripled their shot total in the second producing three more.

Katrina Barthelt paced BSU with two shots while
Kenzie Harer and
Maria Stocke each followed with one.

Bemidji State will now return to Bemidji to host its first home matches of the season and will host Upper Iowa University and Minot State University for its final non-conference matches of the season. The Beavers first host the Peacocks Friday, Sept. 8 at Chet Anderson Stadium followed by Minot State Tuesday, Sept. 12.
