DULUTH, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team couldn't overcome an early two-goal deficit as No. 7 University of Minnesota Duluth earned a 7-0 victory over the Beavers in their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series finale Saturday evening at AMSOIL Arena.

Reece Hunt scored the first three goals including two in the first period for the natural hat trick.

BSU totaled 18 shots on goal with UMD totaling 35. The Beavers fall to 3-17-1 on the season with the loss and 2-14-0 in WCHA play.

Bemidji State returns home next weekend and will host No. 2 University of Minnesota at Sanford Center for a two-game league series, Jan. 19-20.
