MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team was held off the scoreboard by Robert Morris University Friday night as the Beavers fell 2-0 in game one of their non-conference series in Moon Township, Pa. The Colonials scored twice in the second period to ensure victory despite the Beavers with a 46-19 advantage in shots.
 
Mya Neugent and Janelle Evans each scored for the Colonials with Evans' adding a power-play goal. RMU's Maggie Hatch held the Beavers scoreless for the second career shutout for the sophomore.
 
The Beavers produced the most shots on goal in a game since 2022 (50).
 
In her second career start freshman Kaitlin Groess turned aside 17-of-19 shots but falls to 0-2-0.
 
Bemidji State falls to 0-3-0 to start the season and will look to salvage the series split tomorrow afternoon for game two at 2:00 p.m. CT.
