SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – (RV) Augustana University answered back in game two of its Central Collegiate Hockey Association series against (RV) Bemidji State University Saturday night earning a 5-1 victory and series split with the Beavers. Junior Reilly Funk scored the Beavers' lone goal, his second of the series while senior Mattais Sholl made 23 saves.
 
With the loss the Beavers fall to 4-5-0 (3-3-0 CCHA) while the Vikings improved to 5-5-0 (2-2-0 CCHA).
 
Augustana's Brett Meerman scored twice and added an assist to lead the Vikings to victory while Josh Kotai stopped 22-of-23 Beaver shots.
 
Funk scored his second goal of the season and second in two games midway throught the first period to tie the game at 1 for the Beavers.

However, the Vikings responded by scoring four unanswered including and empty-net goal by Meerman late in the third period to seal the victory.
 
The Beavers now take a break from conference play and prepare for a home-and-home series with University of Minnesota next weekend. The teams open the series at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis, Minn., Thursday, Nov. 14 followed by game two Saturday at Sanford Center.
