BEMIDJI, Minn. – The No. 2 University of Wisconsin secured the series sweep over the Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team Saturday afternoon at Sanford Center with a 7-0 victory.

Wisconsin's Kirsten Simms factored in on four of the Badgers' seven goals (1g-3a) to lead Wisconsin while three others recorded multi-point efforts. Badger goaltender Ava McNaughton stopped all 12 Bemidji State shots to secure the shutout win.

Eva Filippova made 33 saves for the Beavers but falls to 4-11-1 on the season.

Bemidji State is now 4-24-2 (3-20-1 WCHA) on the season and will hit the road for its final road trip of the 2023-24 regular season at Minnesota State University, Mankato, Feb. 16-17.
