KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Bemidji State University Baseball team fell in its first game at Rockhurst University Friday afternoon with the Hawks earning a 17-2 victory in seven innings in Kansas City, Mo.
The Beavers fall to 0-5 to start the season while the Hawks improve to 5-2.
Bemidji State totaled two runs off five hits and were led by sophomore
Jackson Schaffer who went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Beau Thoma and
Hunter Daymond were the other Beavers to record a hit in the game.
Sophomore
Christian Lindow (0-2) made his second start and pitched 2.1 innings allowing nine runs off 12 hits and struck out one batter.
Lucas Pierce,
Jack Hoffrogge,
Sawyer Nendick and
Carter Scanlon all came out of the bullpen to pitch with Scanlon pitching one inning and struck out three of the four batters he faced.
Bemijdi State will quickly turnaround and look towards tomorrow when the two teams meet for a doubleheader beginning at Noon. Game one will be a scheduled seven inning game with game two going nine innings and slated to start at 3:00 p.m.
