COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 1 Ohio State University claimed the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series sweep over the Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team Saturday afternoon after downing the Beavers 9-1 at OSU Ice Rink in Columbus, Ohio.

Kayla Santl scored the lone goal for the Beavers while on the power play with 5:01 to play in the second period for her sixth goal of the season, third-most on the team.

Eva Filippova started the game in between the pipes and stopped 20-of-25 shots through two periods before being replaced by junior
Abbie Thompson who turned aside 14-of-18 shots in the third period.

Bemidji State now falls to 4-22-2 (3-18-1 WCHA) on the season and returns home to host No. 2 University of Wisconsin Feb. 9-10 at Sanford Center.
