Christian Lindow held the Wildcats (1-0, 1-0 NSIC) to just one run off two hits through three innings but WSC exploded for four runs in the fourth ending Lindow's season debut early. The Beavers (0-1, 0-1 NSIC) then used seven different pitchers to close out the game with
Daniel Pobuda,
Carter Scanlon,
Sawyer Nendick and
Matt Filippi each pitching scoreless innings.

Wildcats' Corbin Kirk pitched five innings of shutout baseball allowing just one hit and collected nine strikeouts to pick up the team's first win of the season.

The Beavers and Wildcats will continue their four-game series tomorrow afternoon with a doubleheader scheduled to start at Noon. The teams will play a seven-inning game first followed by a nine-inning game around 2 p.m.
