ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Soccer team fell 2-1 on the road at St. Cloud State University Sunday afternoon in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play.

Katrina Barthelt scored the lone goal for the Beavers off a penalty kick in the 89
th minute to score for the fourth straight match. The Beavers fall to 3-3-0 and 1-1-0 in the NSIC while the Huskies improved to 5-1-0 and 2-0-0 in conference play.

St. Cloud State's Ariel Hawkey started the match scoring in the 17
th minute while Ellie Primerano scored in the 66
th minute to put the Huskies up 2-0.

Barthelt scored her fifth of the season to pull the Beavers within one in the 89
th minute but it was too little too late as the Huskies captured the 2-1 victory and improved to 2-0-0 in NSIC play.

The Beavers out-shot the Huskies 11-7 in the match and attempted seven corner kicks compared to just one for SCSU.

Bemidji State will have seven days off until its next match and will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., to face University of Sioux Falls Sunday, Sept. 29.
