ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Hockey team fell in game one of its Western Collegiate Hockey Association series at No. 11 St. Cloud State University Friday afternoon at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn. The Huskies earned a 3-0 victory over the Beavers to garner three points in the WCHA standings.

Kaitlin Groess made 28 saves but Emilia Kyrkko stopped all 17 shots by Bemidji State to collect the shutout.

St. Cloud State's Emma Gentry started the scoring 16:22 into the first period while the Huskies increased their lead to three with two power-play goals from Sofia Sundelin and Siiri Yrjola in the second frame.

Bemidji State falls to 4-19-1 on the season and 2-15-0 in league play and will attempt at the series split tomorrow for game two at 1:00 p.m.
