BEMIDJI, Minn. — For the second consecutive season, Bemidji State Women's Soccer senior forward
Katrina Barthelt was voted the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Year as the league announced its players of the year and all-conference sections Thursday morning.

A total of eight Beavers were selected to all-conference teams tying for the most in program history set during the 2022 and 2022 seasons. Barthelt and senior
Emma Huelsnitz were tabbed as All-NSIC First Team selections while six were named to the All-NSIC Second Team.

Barthelt repeats as the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year for just the fourth time in the NSIC and the second Beaver (Rachael Norton). She is the sixth student-athlete to be recognized as a player of the year across all positions in the NSIC (Offensive, Defensive, Goalkeeper).

In 2025, Barthelt outperformed a 2024 season in which she was selected as the NSIC Offensive Player of the Year. During the regular season, she finished with a career-high 32 points to lead the NSIC and tied for the league's lead with 13 goals. In 15 conference matches, she also led the league with 25 points and scored the second most goals (10) and added the fourth most assists (5). She scored a goal 8-of-15 league matches and Bemidji State went 6-0-2 in conference play when Barthelt scored a goal. Twice she earned NSIC Offensive Players of the Week honors during the season. The 2025 season also ranks in the program's record books as she posted just the 10
th 30-point season in BSU history and is currently tied for the sixth most points in a season. The Bartlett, Ill., has built an impressive resumé at Bemidji Stat ranking sixth in the program in career points (87) and fourth in career goals (38).

She is joined on the All-NSIC First Team by redshirt senior defender/midfielder
Emma Huelsnitz who earns her second career All-NSIC nod. Huelsnitz returned for her redshirt senior season and started every match for the Beavers for the second consecutive season. The Ramsey, Minn., logged a team best and career-high 1,567 minutes on the pitch anchoring the Beavers' defense that finished second in the NSIC allowing just seven goals in 15 league matches. She has helped the Beavers achieve a team goal differential of 28, second best in the NSIC and 26
th in all of Division II. She has helped the Beavers' defense earn 11 clean sheets this season, sixth most in program history. Offensively, Huelsnitz scored a goal from the backline and posted eights, three of which were on target.

Sonia Alfieri earns All-NSIC honors for the first time in her collegiate career with the second team nod. She made 13 starts during the season posting an 11-0-2 record, 0.408 goals against average, .898 save percentage and 7.2 shutouts. She finished second in the NSIC in goals against average and save percentage.

Junior
Madeline Davey earns her first career all-conference accolade after making the switch to a defensive role for head coach
Jim Stone. For the first time in her career, Davey started every match for the Beavers as the right back logging 1,404 minutes on the pitch, third most on the team. She pushed the pace offensively while also helping stymie opposing attackers.

Redshirt junior
Julia Freed also earns her first all-conference selection after second team honors. After missing all of 2024 due to injury, Freed started 18-of-19 matches for the Beavers at center back. She finished second on the team with 1,560 minutes on the pitch and helped Huelsnitz anchor one of the stingiest defenses in the NSIC.

Junior midfielder
Megan Ko earns her third All-NSIC selection after being named to the second team in 2023 and 2024. The center midfielder started every match for the Beavers logging 1,109 minute on the pitch. She led all midfielders with 18 shots, 10 of which were on target and scored one goal on the season.

Sophomore
Maggie Kramer earns her first All-NSIC recognition. The St. Michael, Minn., native started 18-of-19 matches at left back for the Beavers and logged 1,230 minutes on the pitch. She totaled a career-best five points off two goals and one assist and tied for second on the team with two game-winning goals.

Junior
Ella Wade rounds out the Beavers' All-NSIC selection also earning second team accolades for the first time in her career. The Rogers, Minn., native started 18-of-19 matches as a defensive midfielder for the Beavers. She logged a career-high 1,256 minutes on the pitch finishing third on the team with nine points off two goals and five assists. The Beavers' primary corner taker, all five of her assists came off corner kick set pieces.

Other major award winners for the NSIC were Lauren McAlpine (MSU) as the league's Goalkeeper of the Year, Anna Van Wyngarden (MSU) as Defensive Player of the Year, Brooke Quam (SCSU) Midfielder of the Year, Dina Polanco (Mary) Newcomer of the Year and Gretta Macdonald (SCSU) was named the NSIC Coach of the Year.
