Beavers close season with Pink Out and Senior Day

BSU will finish the 2024-25 season against CSP and UMD this weekend at home

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Women's Basketball closes the 2024-25 season with hosting Concordia University, St. Paul for Pink Out night Friday at 7:30 p.m. and University of Minnesota Duluth for Senior Day on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
 
Bemidji State Notes
  • Bemidji State will close out the regular season with games against the Golden Bears and Bulldogs Friday and Saturday. Friday, the team celebrates breast cancer survivors and those battling the disease with Pink Out Night. Fans are encouraged to wear pink and show their support for breast cancer awareness. Saturday, the Beaver Women's Basketball senior class will be recognized at halftime of the men's game. 
  • The Beavers enter the weekend at 6-18 overall with a 4-16 record in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Last week, the team split a road trip series with a win over Augustana University and fell by three points in the final quarter to Wayne State College.
  • Tieryn Plasch closes the season in the top-scoring spot for BSU with 247 points, averaging 10.3 points per game. Plasch is also the leading field-goal and three-point shooter for the team with .425 percent from the field and .403 from the three-point arc.
  • Freshman Aubrey Heyer ends the season as the leading rebounder for the team with 134 total rebounds, averaging 5.6 in her freshman campaign. 
  • Erin Barrette is just one steal away from 100 career steals, marking 52 this season. 
 
No. 12 Concordia-St. Paul Notes
  • The Golden Bears hold 12th place in the NCAA and first in the conference with an overall record of 24-2 and conference mark of 18-2, currently marking an 11-game win streak. Just below CSP, Southwest Minnesota State University hosts the same records in both overall and conference competition.
 
Minnesota Duluth Notes
  • Minnesota Duluth sits in 13th place in the conference, just one spot shy of making the postseason. They host a 6-14 record in the NSIC with 8-17 overall. The Bulldogs sit just below the Winona State University Warriors who have the same record in the conference but have the tiebreaker. 
 
The NSIC tournament begins Wednesday, Feb. 26 at campus sites with the top four teams in the conference holding round-one byes. The quarterfinals, semifinals and championship will all be hosted at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
