Four from women’s basketball named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Bolte, Caron, Heyer and Plasch earn academic district nods from CSC

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Women's Basketball earned four nods on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Basketball team. Beth Bolte, Kassandra Caron, Aubrey Heyer and Tieryn Plasch were each named to the District team with Caron moving onto Academic All-America voting. 
 
Bolte appeared in 25 games and started in four during her final season in the Green & White. She averaged a field goal shooting percentage of .314, going .700 percent at the free-throw line. Bolte added 77 rebounds and 18 assists with nine blocks. She is graduating with a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology.
 
Aubrey Heyer earns her first major academic award of her career during her sophomore season. A nursing major, Heyer appeared in 26 games and started in 23, amassing 115 points and 133 rebounds. She added 28 assists and 17 steals in her second season at Bemidji State.
 
Junior guard Tieryn Plasch earned her second CSC Academic All-District nod of her career, her first coming from her sophomore campaign. This season, Plasch started in all 26 games for Bemidji State, shooting .413 percent from the field and .336 from the arc. She led the team from the free-throw line with a shooting percentage of .865. Plasch added 96 rebounds and 54 assists, plus seven blocks and 34 steals. She finished the season with a career-best 280 points scored. 
 
Senior Kassandra Caron will move onto the CSC Academic All-America ballot after closing her career at Bemidji State. She was named to the NSIC Shining Five early in the season and was named to the All-NSIC Second Team. Facing injury towards the end of the season, Caron finished with 22 starts, averaging 21.7 minutes per game. She grabbed 340 points with 113 rebounds and 35 assists. From the field, Caron averaged a shooting percentage of .461 percent. 
 
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 14 April 15 (women).

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
