BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Women's Basketball senior forward
Kassandra Caron was named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Second Team Thursday morning. Caron joined the Beavers for her final season, leading the team both as a captain and in the scorebook.
A senior transfer this season, Caron quickly moved up the ranks of the Beavers' scorebook early in the season. In her first game in the Green & White, Caron marked 25 points with six rebounds and two assists, shooting .588 percent from the field and .833 percent from the free-throw line, setting herself up for a high-performing season.
Caron ended her career at BSU with 340 points and 113 rebounds, averaging 15.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. She added 35 assists, 18 blocks and 27 steals. The team's top field-goal shooter, Caron posted a .461 shooting percentage, along with .319 from the arc and .746 from the free-throw line. She set season personal bests at University Jamestown with 27 points, 10 field goals made at Northern State University, three-point baskets made against University of Sioux Falls and 15 free throws made at University of Minnesota Crookston.
Caron is the first Beaver women's basketball player since 2024 to receive All-NSIC Second Team honors and joins a list of 10 former Beavers who have ever received the honor. Caron is the 57
th player in Beaver history to be chosen for any All-Conference honors.
