Katrina Barthelt scored off a corner kick in the 60
th minute.

The first half between the Beavers and Cougars saw both teams actively challenging each other, albeit with no goals scored. USF began with an early shot by Chloe Wilson at the 1:45 mark, but it went wide. Bemidji State responded with several offensive attempts, including a shot by
Katrina Barthelt at 3:23 and another that hit the right woodwork in the 21st minute. BSU earned multiple corner kicks throughout the half, with attempts at 7:50, 15:09, and 28:17, but the Cougars' defense, led by goalkeeper Morgan Jost, held firm. The half was marked by frequent fouls from both sides, including three by USF's Ruby Reisdorfer. USF's Mara Nelson had a notable shot on goal in the 43rd minute, which was saved by BSU's goalkeeper
Rozlyn Buettner, keeping the score tied at 0-0 as the half concluded.

Bemidji State opened the second half with a strong offensive push, quickly earning a corner kick in the 51st minute. The breakthrough for BSU came at the 59:35 mark when Barthelt scored, putting them ahead 1-0. Barthelt continued to pressure USF's defense with multiple shots, two of which were saved by the Cougars' goalkeeper Jost in quick succession. USF responded with several attempts, including a shot by Wilson saved by Buettner, but they were unable to find the net. The half concluded with Bemidji State maintaining their 1-0 lead, despite USF's late offensive efforts.

Barthelt scored the game-winning goal and led Bemidji State with six shots, including three on target. Buettner recorded a shutout while making three saves in the victory.
Emma Huelsnitz contributed with two shots, applying pressure to the opposing defense.
Sylve Waters added two more shots to the team's offensive efforts.

Bemidji State improved to 4-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play. USF fell to 1-3-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the conference.

The Beavers have now won four matches in-a-row and next travel to Sioux Falls, S.D., and Wayne, Neb., for a pair of matches against Augustana University and Wayne State College.
