SUPERIOR, Wis. – Bemidji State University Track and Field finished the Twin Ports Open, hosted by University of Wisconsin Superior, with 13 top ten finishes in nine events.
Starting off on the track,
Hailey Selly and
Josie Aitken went second and third in the 800-meter run. In the 300,
Amelia Congrove grabbed fourth along with taking 16
th I the 60-meter dash preliminaries, two spots ahead of
Jayden Wodarz in 18
th. Wodarz also took 13
th in the 200-meter dash.
Gabrielle Wilson was the solo hurdler for BSU, taking sixth in the 60-meter hurdles.
Kathryn Freymiller started the 2026 portion of the season on a high note, taking second in the pole vault with a 3.00-meter personal best vault.
Allison LaVine joined in from the pit with a fifth-place, 4.85-meter-long jump. From the throwing circles,
Trista Bilden led all throwers in shot put with a throw of 11.90 meters. Three more Beavers finished in the top 10 with
Hannah Baker marking an 11.14-meter personal record in third,
Kate Martin's fourth-place season best at 11.10 meters and
Josie Rystedt's sixth-place, 10.90-meter personal best. From the weight-throw circle,
Hannah Baker found her name on the NCAA Division II rankings with a 15.86-meter throw, taking second.
Elle Bettcher,
Kate Martin and
Emma Green each joined the top-10 list as well.
The Beavers head to Moorhead, Minn. next weekend for the Cobber Alumni Open, hosted by Concordia College Moorhead.
