DULUTH, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Tennis team secured two victories over the weekend to continue the program's best start in history by defeating University of Minnesota Duluth, 6-1 on Friday and St. Cloud State University, 5-2 on Saturday, both at the Duluth Indoor Sports Complex. The Beavers remained undefeated on the season improving to 6-0 and 2-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.
In the match against Minnesota Duluth, Bemidji State secured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, and proceeded to dominate in singles, winning five of the six matches.
Mia Leshem led the way with a win at No. 1 singles and paired with
Marla Davies to secure victory in No. 1 doubles. Davies also contributed a win at No. 3 singles, while
Paula Garcia Acebal won at No. 2 singles and added a victory in No. 2 doubles.
Valesca Rodriguez rounded out the performance with a win at No. 6 singles.

Paula Garcia Acebal recorded a victory at No. 2 singles and contributed a win at No. 2 doubles. Ana Lucia Ibanez won at No. 4 singles and also secured victory in the No. 3 doubles match alongside
Valesca Rodriguez, who completed her day with a win at No. 6 singles.
