BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Volleyball Head Coach
Erika Bute has announced her resignation from the Bemidji State coaching staff as she accepts a position at the helm of her alma mater, Augustana University.
Bute was named the 15
th head coach in program history in February 2025 after serving as an assistant coach during the 2024 season and as interim head coach over the final seven matches of the season.
In her first season leading the Beavers, Bute guided the program to seven victories, including a signature five-set win over No. 18 University of Minnesota Duluth. The victory marked Bemidji State's first win over the Bulldogs in 40 matches and highlighted the growth and competitiveness of the program during her tenure.
Prior to becoming head coach, Bute served as an assistant coach for the Beavers during the 2024 season, overseeing recruiting efforts, coordinating team travel and assisting with all aspects of the program before assuming interim head coaching duties late in the season.
