BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University Volleyball Interim Head Coach Hahni Johnson has announced the addition of Noah Ray to the Beaver Volleyball coaching staff. 
 
"We are so excited to welcome Noah to the Beaver family and are grateful for the experience, energy and knowledge he brings to our program," said Johnson. "His experience across collegiate and club volleyball, along with his successes in building and developing programs, will be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes. Noah brings a passion for the game and a commitment to helping athletes grow, and I'm excited to have him alongside me as we continue to build Beaver Volleyball and compete at a high level in the NSIC."
 
Ray joins Bemidji State following a successful run at Eureka College as the men's and women's teams' head coach, where he launched the school's men's volleyball program in May 2025. In his first season building the men's program, Ray guided Eureka to a 38-9 overall record and a No. 9 ranking in the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation Division II rankings. He was named the 2026 NVCF Coach of the Year, one of three Coach of the Year honors he has earned in his career.
 
Ray's coaching experience spans collegiate men's and women's volleyball, club volleyball and program development. Prior to Eureka, he served as the head men's volleyball coach at St. Andrew's University, head men's and women's coach at Marian University Wisconsin and head women's coach at Birmingham-Southern College. He also served as an assistant men's coach at Juniata College and as a graduate assistant women's coach at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. 
 
During his time at Juniata, Ray helped the Eagles capture a conference championship and advance to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight. Juniata finished the 2023 season 30-3 overall, claimed a share of the Continental Volleyball Conference regular-season championship and won the conference tournament before advancing to the NCAA tournament.
 
Ray also brings extensive experience at the club level, serving as an assistant club director and head women's coach with FEVA Volleyball Club and as head boy's coach for Bluegrass Lightning Boys Volleyball Club. 
 
Ray earned a master's degree in sports administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University after completing his bachelor's degree in sport management with minors in human resources and psychology from Midway University.
