COLUMBUS, Ohio (OSU Ice Rink) -Bemidji State’s
Kate Robinson (Shanty Bay, Ontario) tallied two first period
goals to lead Bemidji State over the No. 9 team in the nation,
the Ohio State Buckeyes. The 2-1 victory helped Bemidji State
increase it’s win streak to three games the longest
win streak of the season for the Beavers.
Bemidji State picked up the game’s first goal on Robinson’s
fifth marker of the season. Robinson had help for Jenn Sadler
(Pickering Ontario) to give the Beavers an early lead at the
:51 mark of the first period.
The Beavers increased its lead to two goals when Robinson
struck again, picking up her second marker of the night at
14:50 of the first period. Robinson’s goal was her sixth

Tageson (Malmo, Sweden) and Sadler. Robinson has recorded
10 points in her last eleven games 5-5=10.
Despite being out-shot 8-to-5 in the first period the Beavers
held a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

at 5:43 of the second period to put the Buckeyes on the power-play.

second period while Ohio State was able to put 10 shots on
goal in the period.

but the Buckeyes were unable to break Bemidji State goaltender
Emily Brookshaw (Webster, Wis.) as she was able to shut down
the Ohio State offense stopping all twelve shots she faced
in the third period.
Despite being out-shot handily 30-to-12 Bemidji State was
able to pick up its third straight win in Columbus, Ohio,
dating back to February 10, 2006 when the Beavers started
the streak with a 2-1 victory.

in all three periods and allowing just one power-play goal.
