ABERDEEN, S.D. (Fossum Field) -- The Bemidji State
University baseball team completed a double-header sweep of the
Northern State Wolves this afternoon in Aberdeen, S.D. The Beavers
platted 29 runs in the double-header posting a season-high 20 runs in
Game 1. The Beavers took Game 1 by a score of 20-1 and completed the
sweep with a 9-2 win in the night cap.
Ryan Bohannan (Jr., Goodyear, Ariz.) saw his record improve to 2-1 as he worked six innings in the first game of the double-header. Casey Allar
(Jr., Sartell, Minn.) got the start in the second game. Allar pitched
his second consecutive complete game to improve his record to 2-2 on
the season.
With the double-header sweep the
Beavers improve to 11-16-1 overall and 9-5 in Northern Sun
Intercollegiate Conference play. With the 11 wins the Beavers surpass
their win total of nine from a year ago and are off to its best start
through 28 games since the 2002 season when they were 19-9.

State’s 9-5 conference record is also the best start in the conference
since the 2002 season when BSU was 11-3 through 14 games.

State and Northern State will wrap up its four-game weekend series with
a double-header tomorrow in Aberdeen. First pitch for the twinbill is
slated for noon Central time at Fossum Field.
