Box Score ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Sullivan Arena) -- Leo Fitzgerald and Brett Beauvais each tallied his first collegiate goal and Charlie O'Connor lit the lamp to tie the game with 2:03 to play in regulation as the Beavers escaped with a 4-4 tie Saturday at Alaska Anchorage.
UAA's Brett Cameron scored four goals to supply all of the Seawoves' offense, marking the first time any single player has scored four goals versus Bemidji State since Dallas Miller scored four for Augsburg College Jan. 2, 1987.
The Beavers offensive fire power came from its power-play unit. BSU converted 3-of-7 man advantage opportunities, marking its second consecutive game with multiple power-play goals and the first time the Beavers have logged three power-play goals in a game since Jan. 10, 2014 at Lake Superior State.
Cameron stretched UAA's lead to 3-1 2:30 into the second period. Brendan Harms scored his sixth goal of the season at the 9:08 mark of the period and Brett Beauvais netted his first collegiate goal at the 11:10 mark to send the teams to the locker rooms at the conclusion of 40 minutes of play locked in a 3-3 tie. When Cameron struck again on the power-play just 90 seconds into the third, BSU's luck seemed to have run out. But the team battled back and with just 2:03 left in the game, Charlie O'Connor posted his second goal of the series and sixth of the year to force overtime for the second straight night.
The teams would skate to a scoreless extra frame and would settle for a 4-4 draw.
Andrew Walsh remains unbeaten in his last three appearances (1-0-2) making 23 saves in the game, while allowing four UAA goals. He moves to 2-5-2 on the season.
The Beavers move to 4-10-2 overall and 2-6-2 in WCHA play.
Bemidji State returns to Sanford Center Dec. 12-13 to host Northern Michigan University in a two-game WCHA series. Opening face off Friday is set for 7:37 p.m., with Saturday's finale set for a 7:07 p.m. start.
