BEMIDJI, Minn. (Sanford Center) -- Bemidji State University goaltender Brittni Mowat made 32 saves to keep No. 8 University of North Dakota scoreless through 65 minutes of play and force overtime, but UND got the best of BSU in the shootout to take the extra point in the WCHA standings Friday afternoon at Sanford Center.

Bemidji State (5-0-2; 2-0-1-0 WCHA) and North Dakota (4-0-0; 2-0-1-1 WCHA) will meet again tomorrow at 2:07 p.m., this time at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.

The Beaver's defense saw a season-high 32 shots from North Dakota and aided Mowat by blocking a season-high 27 shots. Senior Ivana Bilic disrupted UND's shooters and blocked seven shots to lead BSU. Bemidji State produced 23 shots on North Dakota's goaltender Shelby Amsely-Benzie, but had 20 shots blocked before they reached the net-minder.

Bemidji State's penalty kill remained dominant and has stopped 14 straight chances after denying North Dakota's lone chance in the second period.

The Beavers extend their undefeated streak to six games, and the 0-0 tie marks the second time in series history that neither team scored a goal.
