Box Score

MANKATO, Minn. – The No. 7 Bemidji State University women’s hockey team defeated Minnesota State University, Mankato 2-1, Saturday to wrap-up the regular season. The Beavers (22-9-3, 17-9-2 WCHA) set a new program-best with their 22nd win.

Junior Lauren Miller scored the game-tying goal and senior Kristin Huber had the game-winning goal for the Beavers. Brittni Mowat stopped 19-of-20 shots to extender her season record to 22-9-2.

Bemidji State now ends the regular season with their best ever finish in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association with a third place finish.

Minnesota State opened the scoring in the game when Anna-Maria Fiegert scored on the power play at 15:59 of the second period. However, the Beavers responded quickly and Miller tied the game at one just 2:56 later.

After play most of the final period deadlocked at 1-1, Bemidji State took their first lead of the game with 7:31 remaining from a goal by Huber. The Beaver’s defense would be flawless for the remainder of the period and secured the 2-1 victory.
