ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell in three, close sets at No. 7 St. Cloud State University, (25-15, 25-20, 25-18) in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play, Thursday night. The Beavers (3-19, 2-12 NSIC) finished the match with 25 kills, nine of them coming from
Lauren Sitter on the night.Â

Sitter also led BSU in hitting percentage scoring on .350 percent of her attacks.
Hallie Mertz was behind Sitter coming away with four kills in the three-set match.
Zayda Priebe,
Ashley Crowl,
Rylee Pompa and
Ashley East all came away with three kills against the Huskies (18-4, 10-4 NSIC). The Beavers were able to score off the serve seven times, four coming the team leading Mertz. Crowl and Pompa booth added in the ace column with two and one, respectively.Â

Emily Wade dug nine Huskies attacks leading the way for the Beavers with
Annie Hopp two behind with seven. Bemidji State at the net were able to block six attacks, Priebe was at the net for four blocks (1s,3a) and Sitter assisted on three.

Wade also led the Beavers with 10 assists,
Hally Holker was able to set up nine points on the night.Â

The Beavers return to Bemidji, Saturday as they take on the No. 4 University of Minnesota Duluth at 4:00 p.m.
