KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches announced the association's 2022 Division II Women's Scholar All-America Teams and Bemidji State University Women's Soccer members
Megan Dahl,
Alyssa Stumbaugh,
Halle Peterson,
Allyson Smith and
Sara Wendt were all named Scholar All-Americans.
Dahl leads the group after being named to the First Team and earns her second Scholar All-America accolade while Stumbaugh, Peterson, Smith and Wendt were each named to the Third Team and each earn the award for the first time.
To be eligible for United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America, the student-athlete must be a junior or above in athletic standing, have at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average and play a minimum of 75 percent of the teams games and be an elite player.
The five Scholar All-America selections were the most in program history for a single season.
?????Student-athletes on this year's Scholar All-America Teams will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
