Box Score 2 BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University softball team was swept at No. 12 Augustana University Monday afternoon to conclude its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference road trip. The Beavers fell 17-0 and 11-3 to the nationally ranked Vikings with both games ending in five innings.
The Beavers fall to 10-32 on the season and are now 7-15 in conference play.
Bemidji State was held to just two hits in game one with freshman Alexa Christenson and junior Ashley Herold the lone Beavers to collect hits.
Senior Kaidron McClafferty earned the loss in the circle after pitching 4.2 innings and allowed nine runs, four earned, off eight hits and had two strikeouts. She falls to 4-12 on the season.
The Beavers totaled three runs off three hits in game two but fell to the Vikings 11-3 in five innings. Herold, Emmarie Yeager and Adelyn Wilson each collected hits for the Beavers with Yeager, Wilson and Molly Houts collecting RBI's.
Sophomore Kyla Damerow earned the loss after pitching 3.1 innings and allowed 10 runs off 13 hits and had one strikeout. She falls 1-6 on the season.
The Beavers will look to rebound Wednesday, April 27 when they host St. Cloud State University at Chet Anderson Stadium in their last home games of the season.
