MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to Cedarville University and University of Central Oklahoma at the Northern Michigan University Open Friday evening in Marquette, Mich. The Beavers (0-2, 0-0 NSIC) pushed Cedarville to five sets but fell 3-2 (25-19, 14-25, 25-21, 22-25, 5-15) to the Yellowjackets and then fell 3-0 (16-25, 14-25, 12-25) to the Bronchos.

Bemidji State was led by sophomore
Ashley Crowl in game one who totaled nine kills and four aces while freshman
Zayda Priebe and junior
Hallie Mertz each led BSU with four kills in game two.

The Beavers close out play at the NMU Open tomorrow afternoon by facing Lake Superior State University and host school Northern Michigan University at 2 and 6 p.m., respectively.
