BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University women's soccer fifth-year senior
Sara Wendt scored in the 53
rd minute and the Beavers' defense held Minnesota State University, Moorhead to 0 shots on goal to earn BSU's third consecutive shutout and improve to 2-0-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play Sunday afternoon.

Bemidji State is now 3-1-1 on the season after the 1-0 victory over the Dragos while MSUM falls to 1-2-0 and 1-1-0 in conference play.

After a scoreless first half, Wendt received a through ball from graduate
Allyson Smith that trickled behind the Dragons' defense and right on the foot of Wendt who capitalized and scored her second goal of the season and her 37
th career goal.

Bemidji State dominated possession and held the Dragons to just four shots, all of which were off target. BSU generated 10 shots on goal including a game-high three from Wendt.

The Beavers will remain at home and host Minnesota State University, Mankato and Concordia University-St. Paul in part of homecoming festivities. BSU begins the weekend by hosting the Mavericks Friday, Sept. 16 and 3 p.m., followed by the Golden Bears at 1:00 p.m., Sunday.
