MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Bemidji State University senior
Ben Corbid shoots two-over par 215 (71-71-73) in part of the Beavers' 12
th place finish at the Northeastern Oklahoma State Classic. Corbid tied for 17
th out of 98 golfers in the three-round, two-day tournament held at Muskogee Country Club in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
The Beavers had a team score of 878 (287-290-301) putting them six strokes behind 11
th University of Central Missouri (289-295-288=872). Henderson State University finished in first shooting 837 (289-268-280) nearly 20 strokes better than second place Washburn University (282-280-294=856).
Following Corbid was freshman
Rylin Petry who was one-stroke behind him (71-69-76=216) including a career-low 69 in round two for the freshman from Fertile, Minn. Petry ended up tying for 22
nd.
Logan Schoepp (70-78-77=225),
Caden Lick (76-72-80=228) and
Tate Usher (75-80-75) rounded out the Beavers' five scores.
Missouri Southern State's Tradgon McCrae finished first overall shooting 13 under par 200 (64-66-70). Placing McCrae two strokes ahead of second, Carlos Gomez from Northeastern State (70-62-70=202).
The Beavers will resume action on October 3
rd and 4
th as they travel to Topeka, Kan., to compete in the Washburn Invite.
