WINONA, Minn. – Bemidji State University junior
Jack Southard carded 150 (76-74) to tie for 19
th individually and lead the Bemidji State University men's golf team to an 11
th place finish at the NCAA Super Regional Preview held at The Bridges Golf Course in Winona, Minn.
The Beavers shot a team score of 618 (302-316) to finish 11
th and three strokes behind 10
th place, Upper Iowa University. Host school Winona State University took home the team title and carding a team score of 578 (294-284) and finished 12 strokes in front of second place Washburn University.
Following Southard was freshman
Rylin Petry who carded 152 (74-78) in his first collegiate tournament while Koby Keunzel (73-84=157),
Tate Usher (79-80=159) and
Seth Schricker (86-88=174) rounded out the Beavers' five scorers. Fifth-year senior
Ben Corbid also competed at the tournament as an individual and tied Southard for 19
th with 150 (73-77).
TJ Raden (79-78=157) and
Gus Vatnsdal (79-82=161) also competed as individuals.
Winona State's Alessandro Tentra took home the individual title with a one-under par 141 (73-68) to finish two strokes in front of teammate Gabe Goodman.
The Beavers return home quickly and will host the BSU Invite at Bemidji Town and Country Club, Sept. 12-13.
