MARSHALL, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Women's Golf team wrapped up the Mustang Invitational on Sunday placing 12th on the par 72, 5,852-yard Marshall Golf Club course.
Bemidji State had rounds of 351-354 for a 705 to place 12th. Augustana continued to lead finishing with rounds of 292-297 for a 589 to win by 40-strokes over Minnesota State's "B" team. Augustana had the top two finishers with Lanie Veenendall winning with an even par 144 (68-76) to win by five shots.
Mollie Albrecht climbed seven spots during the final round to tie for 32nd with rounds of 83-80 for a 163 (+19). Albrecht had birdies on holes one and 15 during the final round and added six pars. Elli Anderson tied for 64th with rounds of 87-91 for a 178 (+34). Anderson had six pars on Sunday. Haylee Kammann was just a few shots back finishing 67th with rounds of 95-87 for a 182 (+38) climbing six places during the final round. Kammann added two birdies on holes 10 and 16, along with five pars. Savannah Byfuglien was a few shots back of Kammann tying for 69th with rounds of 89-96 for a 185 (+41). Byfuglien had three pars on Sunday. Isabella Depew placed 74th with rounds of 92-99 for a 191 (+47). Depew had a birdie on hole six and added two pars. Nakomis Mitchell, competing as an individual, tied for 75th with rounds of 104-90 for a 194 (+50). Mitchell climbed four places on Sunday and had five pars.
Bemidji State as a team had 50 pars and five birdies throughout the tournament. The Mustang Invitational completes the fall schedule for the Beavers and will now prepare for the spring season.
