HUDSON, Wis. – Bemidji State University Women's Golf junior Haylee Kamman shot a career-low 160 to lead the Beavers at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl held at the Troy Burne Golf Course in Hudson, Wis. Kammann opened the two-day tournament carding 86 but then fired a career-best three-over par 74 in round two as the Beavers made a nine-stroke improvement to finish 13
th as a team.
The Beavers recorded rounds of 341 and 332 during the tournament finishing with a team score of 673 to place 13
th among the 14-team field. Co-hosts Minnesota State University, Mankato won the tournament with a team score of 599 (301-298).
Kammann made a 12-stroke (86-74) improvement from the opening round to tie for 26
th individually and besting her previous career-low by five strokes. She was followed by sophomore
Sara Sroga who tied for 40
th with a 164 (84-80) and just six strokes back of a personal career-low. In her second tournament as a Beaver junior
Abby Turkowski bested her previous low round shooting 174 (84-90) and tied for 67
th. Sophomore
Lauren Kammann followed and was four-strokes shy of tying her career-low after carding 175 (87-88). Sophomore
Bailey Tilley rounded out the Beavers' five scorers in the tournament shooting 199 (102-97).
Bemidji State continues the fall season and will next compete at the Watkins Invitational held at The Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, Minn., Sept. 22-23.
