Beavers move home opener to Wayne, Neb.

BSU Baseball to host Sioux Falls at Wayne State College

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Baseball home opening series with University of Sioux Falls has been moved to the campus of Wayne State College in Wayne, Neb., due to lingering winter effects in Bemidji. The Beavers and Cougars will now play a three-game series beginning Sunday, Mar. 26 and ending Monday at Hank Overin Field in Wayne.
 
The teams will play a doubleheader beginning at noon on Sunday before closing out the series Monday with a single game at 1:00 p.m. Fans watch the Beavers and follow live at: Watch, Live Stats
 
The Beavers enter the Sun-Mon series looking for their first wins in conference play (0-5) and are 1-19 overall. The Cougars will also be looking for their first league wins (0-5) and are 1-18 overall.
 
The Beavers rank 14th in the NSIC with a team batting average of .240 and have scored 81 runs this season which ranks 13th in the conference. The Beavers have hit 22 doubles, two triples and nine home runs this season and are 15th with a .330 slugging percentage but are 13th with an on-base percentage of .350.
 
BSU is 14th in the league with a team ERA of 11.62 and have allowed 217 runs to also rank 14th.
 
Bemidji State is led at the plate by junior Jack Munson who is batting .329 with 24 hits, five doubles, one triple, three home runs and has 11 RBI. He is slugging .548 and has an on-base percentage of .364. Senior Logan Barrick leads the BSU pitching staff and is 1-1 with an ERA of 6.08 in 23.2 innings pitched.
