Blue Springs, Mo. – The Bemidji State University Men's Golf team ends day one at the NSIC Championship in first after shooting 296 (+8) in round one. All five BSU golfers are two-strokes within each other with Ben Corbid, Rylin Petry, Caden Lick and Logan Schoepp leading the team with a two-over 74.
The Beavers are leading the pack at 296 (+8), four-strokes better than their best round earlier this season at the NSIC Preview. Winona State University, Concordia University-St. Paul and Minnesota State University, Mankato are all tied for second four-strokes behind Bemidji State at 300 (+12). Kurt Lambert of CSP leads the competition at 70 (-2).
Bemidji State's student-athletes are all neck-and-neck with each other with Corbid, Petry, Lick and Schoepp all finishing the round tied for fifth at two-over par. Corbid is one of two golfers who have recorded an eagle on the day and Lick is tied with the most birdies with six. Jack Southard shot 76 (+4) in round one and is tied for second with the most amount of pars recorded with 12.
The Beavers continue the three-day tournament tomorrow at the Adams Pointe Golf Club. BSU will tee off at the same time of 11 a.m. and live results will be available once again here.
