Koby Kuenzel grabbed Top 50 finishes with two fellow Beavers on the edge.
Logan Schoepp jumped 17 spots from 57
th on day one to 40
th on day two of the Central Regional Preview, hitting a score of nine over par. He improved by two strokes each round, beginning the tournament with a 76 and finishing at a 72, his last round boasting just one over par. Behind Schoepp,
Koby Kuenzel grabbed the 46
th-place finish, improving by 20 spots over the course of the tournament. He improved his score each round, marking a 76, 75 and 72 over the three rounds. Kuenzel finished 10 strokes over par and marked five birdies in the final round.
Taking the 51
st and 58
th spots in the tournament were
Tate Usher and
Cullen Ryan, respectively. Usher marked a score of 11 over par and jumped 15 spots in the standings over the three rounds. He made a large improvement between rounds one and two, marking a 78 in the first and 73 in the second. Usher kept the score of 73 for the final round. Ryan's scorecard marked ten birdies and a final score of 12 over par. In the final round, he grabbed a score of 70, the only Beaver to earn round score under par.
As the fall season now draws to a close, the Beavers boast one of the top golfers in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, graduate student
Koby Kuenzel. Kuenzel has marked the fourth-best scoring average in the conference with an average of 72.9 strokes per round. Also in the Top 20 are
