BEMIDJI, Minn. – For the second consecutive game, Bemidji State University Men's Hockey earned victory by way of a shutout posted by senior netminder
Mattias Sholl Friday night at Sanford Center. The Beavers blanked No. 16 Minnesota State University, Mankato 1-0 at home to earn their first home victory of the season and capture their second consecutive victory by shutout.

Sholl made 24 saves to earn his second shutout of the season and now has six for his career to tie for seventh most in program history. Graduate
Carter Randklev scored his fourth goal of the season midway through the second period for the game-winning goal. Senior
Austin Jouppi earned his team-leading fourth assist of the season on the play.

The Beavers dominated play out-shooting the Mavericks 44-24 in the game and especially in the second period where the shots totaled 19-8 in favor of BSU.

The shutout victory against the Mavericks marks the third consecutive shutout against MSU dating back to last season's regular season's final series.

The Beavers improved to 3-3-0 on the season and 2-1-0 in conference play.

BSU will go for the series sweep tomorrow night for game two which is slated for 6:07 p.m. and can be watched online at Midco Sports Plus.
