SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Bemidji State University Men's Hockey team fell to Lake Superior State University Saturday night as the Lakers salvaged a Central Collegiate Hockey Association series split in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

The Lakers survived a late push by the Beavers to defeat BSU 4-3 and earn three points in the CCHA standings.

Jackson Jutting and
Kirklan Irey each scored a goal and assist for the Beavers while
Isa Parekh recorded two assists.

Fifth-year senior
Eric Martin opened the scoring with his fourth goal of he season 3:46 into the first period.

Lake Superior State's Sasha Teleguine would score twice before the period's end to hand the Lakers a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

LSSU would take a 3-1 lead 4:53 into the second period from a goal from Luke Levandowski before
Kirklan Irey broke the Lakers scoring streak 10:06 into the third period.

Teleguine would score just 35 seconds later to complete the hattrick while Jutting scored with 5:14 to play to pull the Beavers within one.
