BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Baseball home opener will have to wait a bit longer as the Beavers have moved its series with Southwest Minnesota State University scheduled for this weekend to Sioux Falls and Brandon, S.D., due to snow conditions at the BSU Baseball Field.

The Beavers and Mustangs will now play two doubleheaders, both beginning at Noon, Friday, March 29 and Saturday. Friday's doubleheader will take place at Ronken Field in Sioux Falls with Saturday at Aspen Field in Brandon.

The Beavers enter the weekend's four-game set with a 1-21 overall record and 0-12 in conference play. SMSU is 10-9 overall and 4-7 in the NSIC.

Bemidji State is led at the plate by freshman
Matt Filippi who is batting .309 and has an OPS of .915 with a slugging percentage of .500 and on-base percentage of .415.

Jacob Smith leads the Beavers' pitching staff with 22.1 innings pitched and is 0-5 with a 9.27 ERA and has collected 15 strikeouts. He is followed by junior
Derek Hoffman who has pitched 19.2 innings and is 0-4 and leads the team with 18 strikeouts.
