BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Softball team continues its six-game home stand and prepares to host Augustana University and Wayne State College this weekend at the BSU Softball Field.

The Beavers host the Vikings (30-13, 15-1 NSIC) and Wildcats (6-30, 2-10 NSIC) for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheaders beginning Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m., and Sunday at Noon. BSU will face Augustana first on Saturday before ending the weekend Sunday against WSC.

Bemidji State is coming off a series split with St. Cloud State University Wednesday at the BSU Softball Field and are looking to continue momentum gained from a thrilling 12-inning, walk-off victory against the Huskies.

Senior pitcher
Stella Dolan dominated the series in the circle and pitched 16.1 innings and allowed just two runs off 12 hits for an ERA of 0.86 against the Huskies and struck out 16 batters including a career-high 12 in the Beavers' walk-off win.

Augustana has won its last 12 games boasting a 15-1 league record to sit second in the NSIC standings while Wayne State has lost its last three and is 13
th in the standings.

Dolan leads the Bemidji State pitching staff pitching in 146.2 innings, the third most in Division II and leads the NSIC. She has compiled a 4.01 ERA and 1.51 WHIP in 28 appearances and has made 19 starts. She is 6-13 on the season and her 91 strikeouts are eighth most in the NSIC. Her 115 career appearances are tied for the most in program history and she is fourth in program history in career strikeouts (338), fourth in innings pitched (494) and sixth in wins (22). Her 146.2 innings pitched this year is the 10
th most in program history and eyes the program record of 203.2 innings pitched in a single season set by Jessica Yost in 2017.

At the plate, junior
Alexa Christenson leads the team with a .355 batting average and has collected 44 hits in 124 at bats while hitting three doubles and is third on the team with 15 RBI. She is followed by freshman
Jackie Larsen who is hitting .314 with 32 hits in 102 at bats and has three doubles and driven in 16 runs. Sophomore
Aubrey Aukerman paces the Beavers with 18 RBI and is hitting .270 at the plate with 30 hits in 111 at bats.
