BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University Softball team will make its debut on its dirt field tomorrow and hosts St. Cloud State University at Noon for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader at BSU Softball Field.

The Beavers moved forward the start of their doubleheader with the Huskies in an attempt to avoid forecasted rain in the late afternoon.

Bemidji State is looking to end a 10-game losing skid and is 8-27 overall and 2-10 in NSIC play. The Huskies are also looking to end a losing streak having lost their last four but are 22-16 on the season and 5-7 in league play.

The Beavers were swept by Minnesota State University, Mankato and Winona State University this past weekend on the road while SCSU was swept by Concordia University-St. Paul and Southwest Minnesota State University in Rosevill, Minn., and Marshall, Minn.

Bemidji State is led by junior
Alexa Christenson who is batting .345 at the plate and has collected 40 hits in 116 at bats including three doubles. Her 15 RBI is third most on the team and trails team leaders freshman
Jackie Larsen and sophomore
Aubrey Aukerman who each have 16.

Larsen is second on the team batting .323 with 30 hits in 93 at bats and leads the Beavers with nine stolen bases. Senior
Molly Houts leds the Beavers with a .788 OPS behind a team-high .436 on-base percentage. She is batting .307 with 27 hits in 88 at bats and leads the Beavers with 15 walks and has been hit by pitch a team-high six times. She has walked 15 times while only striking out five times to lead the team in walk/strikeout ratio.

Bemidji State is led in the circle by senior
Stella Dolan who is 6-13 with a 4.40 ERA over 130.1 innings. She leads the NSIC in innings pitched and her 14 complete games are tied for second in the league. She has collected 75 strikeouts, ninth most in the NSIC while only walking 29, the fourth fewest among pitchers in the NSIC who have pitched over 100 innings.

She is followed by sophomore
Elle Hastings who has pitched 51.2 innings and is 1-7 with an ERA of 9.35.
