BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Men's Hockey senior goaltender
Mattias Sholl has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 Hobey Bake Memorial Award as collegiate men's hockey's top player.

Awarded annually to college hockey's top player, the Hobey Baker's tremendously popular fan-voting will run from Wednesday, January 22 until Sunday, March 9 at midnight. College hockey fans can cast their vote by going to the voting websiteÂ
hobeybaker.com/vote. Sholl is one of over 90 collegiate men's hockey players representing 64 NCAA Division I schools nominated for the award.

Sholl has played in 97-percent of the Beavers' minutes in the crease this season and is third in the nation with 1425:17 minutes played this season. His 580 saves this season ranks 10
th among all goaltenders in Division I. He has posted a 7-12-4 record this season to go along with a 2.86 goals against average and .895 save percentage while his two shutouts are tied for the ninth most in DI.

Phase two of fan balloting will feature the Top Ten Hobey Baker finalists beginning March 19 and closing March 30. The fans' vote accounts for a percentage of the total ballot in each phase in selecting this year's award recipient.
Award criteria include candidates exhibiting the exceptional character traits of the award's namesake, Hobey Baker. A legendary American hero, Baker was a World War I fighter pilot and was known as America's greatest amateur athlete in his day, excelling at hockey and football at Princeton University. Award candidates must demonstrate strength of character both on and off the ice, contribute to the integrity of his team and display outstanding skills in all phases of the game. Consideration should be given to scholastic achievement and sportsmanship.
