Six Beavers earn CSC Academic All-District for Women’s Soccer

Alfieri, Barthelt, Huelsnitz, Freed, Ko and Wade earn academic accolade from College Sports Communicators

BEMIDJI, Minn. — The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, were announced by the organization Tuesday and six student-athletes from Bemidji State University Women's Soccer were recognized.
 
Sonia Alfieri, Katrina Barthelt, Emma Huelsnitz, Julia Freed, Megan Ko and Ella Wade each earned CSC Academic All-District distinction and each will be considered for the advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
 
College Sports Communicators (CSC) recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.

Located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, Bemidji State University sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men's hockey membership in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and women's hockey membership in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
